Travel guide of Lochinver8 km from Lochinver
I have been captivated by Suilven from the first moment I saw this majestic mountain from a distance. It rises dramatically from the landscape, dominating the area around it, in the north west highlands of Scotland. It is not easy to reach, with fairly long approaches from all sides. I set out to run to and climb Suilven early one summer morning. I was greeted with this sight on a minor road near Lochinver. This is already a landscape like no other. Add in the mist and it is even more intoxicating. #itsgreatoutthere

Up in the Scottish Highlands these majestic animals roam freely within their landscape. Docile, loud and unapologetically stubborn yet beautiful all the same. This one labelled as ‘100’ was caught just before a loud ‘moo’ in my direction.

I was hiking in the Isle of Skye with a group of friends and we started playing a little game. Every time we would see a nice mountain peak someone would have to run to that peak. When we passed that little peak we almost didn’t notice it as it was not that impressive and the light, at that moment, was not that good. But still, my friends turned around and look back, thinking for a few seconds and then decided to run there. When he stopped running, the light appeared and all of sudden the place was magical.

One morning on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Getting out early with the camera was rewarded with superb views of a haar (sea fog) rolling in over the coastal waters between the island and Scottish mainland. This shot captures the atmosphere as a fishing vessel emerges from the fog homeward bound, no doubt after a hard night of working the nets.

Scotland has some beautiful place and. Quiraing is one of them. This place offers small lakes, weird formed mountains that look unreal.

If you want to go to Quiraing, do the trail. It worth more than the first 500m. You’ll be surrounded by sheeps, beautiful nature, powerful wind, more sheeps. But most important, you’ll be amazed all along.

Took this photo on an adventure climbing the Quiraing in Scotland. This sign stood out like a sore thumb on the landscape!

Taking photos of sunsets is always a gamble! You can never trust the weather forecast to tell you whether the sky will be photo worthy, more often than not you’ll probably be disappointed with the result. We had been checking the sky for a week to try and get out for some sunset photos but every evening was overcast. The day this photo was taken wasn’t any different, with a thick bank of cloud on the horizon, but we decided to skip dinner and go a few miles to Talisker Bay to see if the sun would surprise us. We got there about an hour before and knew it was going to be a special evening.

I went hiking on the Isle of Skye and drove to a place called The Old Man Of Storr. The hike was pretty tough but the view was totally worth it. This is one of my favorite places in the world. The landscape is full of magic and you get the feeling of being in a fairytale

I knew this place from a lot of photos, but for some reason a lot of people I knew didn’t took it. Now I know why, I decided to climb the mountain, which should have taken 1h according to some fellow hikers, it took a lot more. It took me around 2h30 to reach the top. I’m not an experienced hiker, which could have played a part on this long trip. But oh boy, it was worth it, after fighting a strong winds I saw it. I saw the Old Man of Storr

It took one day for our company consisting of 6 (tough?) guys to walk from Portree to the Old man of Storr. Our boots where completely soaked. There’s not such a thing like ‘hiking paths’ in Skye. The day after, 4 of the 6 guys went up the hill to see the amazing rock formation!

Decided to drive up to the Old Man of Storr at sunset to shoot some pictures. The Old Man was visible from far away and it just stands there, in all its glory. Scotland made us often feel very small and learned us to appreciate the world around us more. This is definitely one of the scenes that teaches us just that once more.

Sunset at Eilean Donan Castle, near Kyle of Lochalsh, Scotland. The clouds in the marshy lowtide made for a wonderful reflection. Shot on 35mm film.

A steep 4am hike to see the sun rise on Old Man Storr. The Storr (Scottish Gaelic: An Stòr) is a rocky hill on the Trotternish peninsula of the Isle of Skye in Scotland.

This was captured as I was leaning out of my car window driving through the Scottish Highlands. It was one of the first scenes I saw as we arrived on the Isle of Skye - little did I know that I’d see landscape like this around every single bend in the winding roads. Incredible place.
